51. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: J.K. Rowling
52. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: J.K. Rowling
53. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: J.K. Rowling

Favorites from this quarter: anything Harry Potter (obviously), I Was Anastasia, Behind Her Eyes, The Martian, Dark Places.

Harry Potter: I remember the day my mom brought home Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone and I also remember being a quarter of a way through it before dinner. I was absolutely ENTHRALLED by it and refused to put it down. I’d count down the days until the release of each new book and the series complete defines my entire childhood. I have all the audiobooks and listen to them once a year…I can fully recite parts of the books but it doesn’t stop me from re-listening annually!

I Was Anastasia: This kept me guessing until the very end and I could NOT stop thinking about it after I finished it. It follows a woman claiming to be the escaped Princess Anastasia after the massacre of her family. It was so twisty and well written that I couldn’t put it down.

Behind Her Eyes: Also twisty!! The ending was very unusual and a little weird, but the very last few sentences really blew the whole thing out of the water. Definitely a good thriller to read!

The Martian: I first saw the movie before I read the book, and since I liked the movie so much I thought I’d like the book too. I absolutely LOVED it – the way that it was written was so much like the way you imagined the main character to talk. It was so well written and had a fantastic ending. It was also a super quick read!!

Dark Places: Anything written by Gillian Flynn is bound to be creepy – this one is no exception. I really loved the way that the story wove around, and the end was well done. I’ve got a few more Gillian Flynn books on my list!!
